Dr Aurelie Slechten

Dr Aurélie Slechten is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at Lancaster University Management School. She holds a PhD in Economics from the Université libre de Bruxelles, completed in 2013. Before joining Lancaster University, she was an FNRS Research Fellow at ECARES, Université libre de Bruxelles, from 2008 to 2012, and later worked as a postdoctoral fellow at ECARES.

 

Her research interests lie in environmental economics, applied microeconomics, and market design. Her published work covers a range of topics, including carbon emissions markets, asymmetric information in international environmental agreements, firms’ location and pollution decisions, and the relationship between corporate governance and environmental performance.

 

Her current research focuses on the microstructure of carbon emissions markets, corporate social responsibility, board of directors’ networks and environmental performance, and pollution-driven residential mobility.
