Francisca Carvalho

Dr Francisca Carvalho holds a PhD in Economics from Lancaster University and has more than three years of university-level teaching experience.

Her research expertise focuses on climate risk and asset pricing, supported by a strong background in applied econometrics, quantitative methods, and financial modelling. She has experience using a range of statistical and programming tools, including Stata, MATLAB, Gretl, and VBA for financial modelling and automation.

Dr Carvalho is passionate about inclusive and student-centred teaching and is committed to supporting learners in developing strong applied econometrics and data analysis skills. She currently works full-time at Timberlake Consultants as an in-house econometrician, contributing to training, research, and applied econometric projects.”
